I am wondering why you did this, to be honest. Looks like the ass is sagging a little; it might look better if you gave her a lift to level.

Tom, I'm glad you like it. They do look like a photoshop, don't they? I don't have those kind of mad skills, so they are actually on the car.

Damn right they are! I don't think they are made for the Fusion, as they're a bitch to get on, let alone getting them on without having them wobble around on the highway mesmerizing passers by. I had such a hard time getting them back onto the Fusion after a wheel rotation, I took a break and tried them out on the POS. Looks a lot better than I thought it would, and pretty much domesticates the car. No more stares, people pulling their kids away from the sidewalk, or locking door sounds at lights, LOL. I do need to put the rear wheel spacers back on after I change the lug studs. Why the box Panther rear track is so hideously narrow is beyond me.

It is sagging, as the trunk and rear seat is full. I had a party for my Daughter and had to get some things out of the garage for the moment. In there were a snowblower, a lawnmower, all four tires from the Subie, 2 sets of jackstands, an engine hoist, a load leveler, an inflatable 6' tall illuminated and motorized pumpkin, and a Little Tikes 12'x12' bouncer. I actually possess a Crown Vic with zero sag or lean. Here is an unloaded pic taken last weekend:

I have other wheel/tire plans for the moment, and the like-new Kumhos and wheels/caps are going to be for sale soon. 1987cp knows what's in store.

One trick is to take a flat blade screw driver and push in the clips while slapping them in. I hate doing oil changes on the 2.4 and hybrid's dam catrige oil Filter get all messy.

I used a needle nose micro-plier and a rubber sledge for the task. If that didn't help, some axle grease was going on the tabs. If I lost one or two it would be okay, as I cannot stand hubcaps, yet all three vehicles including my lawnmower are adorned with the retarded things. I have never had a hard time with them, so today was just a bad day I suppose. They did snap right onto the POS amazingly, and right over the '98+ PI center caps, too. I need to re-enroll myself back into anger management classes after that fiasco.

Tell me about it I was cursing at them for a while. My hands where hurting as I did not have a rubber mallet from slapping them in. problem with putting them back on the fusion steelies is after a while the plastic clips get bent from trying to put it on. Once the clips get bent they bent out making them not waiting to go back in the steelie

The car has had it's wheels off a lot for a 2-year old car so I can see that happening. In the beginning, there were foam rubber pads behind each spoke. They are all gone now. I found a good way to center the hubcap on the rim better. After they were on, I covered the mallet with a rag and tapped the hubcap around at the inside of the spokes to center it on the wheel better. At highway speeds next to a nice shiny liquid container semi trailer I saw that the driver's side are spinning fairly true. I laugh out loud at some of the rental Fusions I see all over the place here with their gyrating hubcaps.

I bet these things would look good on a newer whale.

I forgot to mention that my right hand is out of commission (save it for the battlefield mangs) so that was probably contributing to the drama. If I didn't have any legs, too, it would have been a disaster.

Don't hate on me, but honestly I don't like them. I like the look of bare steelies, yours look great with the chrome center caps and chrome trim rings would look sick. I just can't stand wheel covers and I like the look of RWD wheels how there's a lip on them, gives the whole car a meaner look.

My suggestion is taking them off and adding chrome trim rings like Pete has on his 85HPP, would look amazing.

I'm not a huge fan of plastic wheel covers, but they do look decent on your car. They give it a more "finished" look.
