    guy i had my whole front end rebuilt by this guy spring tierods balljoint pitman arm centerlink idlearm sway bar links shock guy did the whole job for 300 buck why cheaper then anyshop i asked that for sure job all together cost me about 1100 buck

    Lots of reasons, could be labor rate, parts quality, whther or not you were charged list or wholesale for the parts, etc....

      300 labor? damm good price.....somebodys backyard garage?
      if so his rate is probably low.......did he replace all the parts you supplied? does it work well?

      1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt

            1100 at a reg shop probably also includes parts with markup and labor at $65-95 an hour. It adds up real quick. Usually a shadetree guy has a much lower labor rate and if you supply your own parts, no markup there. 300 for a full front end rebuild is very cheap. I wouldn't do one for that, I've done my own and its a pain in the ass.

              one guy wanted 800 dollars just for labor that was no parts at all atcual i got the whole job done for 900 bucks i added it up today
