Bad motor mounts will cause a bit of a shake...

well, checked the lugnuts today, and to my suprise, some one/thing had loosened them up like 2 turns...seems to have helped the shake a bit....But still has a shake.....

Have you looked into the out-of-true wheel thing? Either have your wheels spun on a balancer, or toss on a set of known-good rims and go for a spin. If you were nearby, I'd say to some over and take a turn on my cop rims.

I heard that from a tire shop guy once. So happened, I pulled a wheel and found some gooey much stuck to the inside of the rim! Still wasn't quite right afterward, but it was much improved.

our 88 TC had bad problems with shaking just like that...turned out to be the front U joints on the driveshaft.
U joints are cheap..it would be worth it to check those out and/or replace them.

easy way to check if the motor mounts are bad it to brake torque it a bit..not too much, but just a bit.if the motor is moving enough to make the fan hit shroud..definitely the mounts.
