Dave, no, it's just a 2wd - wish it was 4x4, then I'd have a Dana 60 solid axle in the front... is yours a 4x4?

And a big no on the 22.5 alcoas: rubberband tires + shitty moon-crater-like roads + bigass heavy diesel engine = bad bad idea!

Don't need to go with rubber bands; use full size tires, and lift it. Not very appropriate though, seeing as its 4x2. Also, I'm not really a fan of the big wheels on a small truck either. I really don't know why I suggested that...

Well, it ain't no small truck - tis a regular cab dually, so just as long as any normal longbed truck, but also wider, and with the cap it looks even bigger. But if it were a 4x4 and I were lifting it I would go with some flotation tires, like 35" or 37" diameter, on some 16" wheels - more rubber means less stuck on sand

Hm. I stand corrected, Ivan ... apparently the cheaper steel offerings from US Wheel and Cragar aren't available off the shelf (at least from Summit) in 16x10 with a 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern. Guess that partly solves the problem of hardly having any 26-to-28-inch tires available to fit them. So the most straightforward 16" handling solution would be 16x8s with 255/50 or 255/55 tires. :p

Dave, yeah, I didn't have time to post a reply on your offer - how much for these EVOs? What about shipping? And how much you need your wheels that the tires are mounted on now (if they're steel)? Also are the 225/75s EVOs also e-rated?

All of them are E rated. Wheels are 4 chrome 2 steel. Shipping would be pay for my gas. Tire and wheel each weighs just under 100 lbs. What year is your truck. Center hole in the wheel is 4.88 inches If i remember correctly. You might want to measure yours.

My truck is 1990. I have those chrome covers on my wheels so I can't measure the actual center hole, but the diameter of the center caps are like 4.75, so likely the wheels are the same size as yours. Shipping - gas for you driving from where? Also how much for the tire + wheel, I will only need one pair as my rears are pretty decent, and tis the fronts I'd like to beef up a bit.

Witch wheels 2 steel or chrome (would rather sell all 4 chrome ones togeather) The EVOs new were 195.00 each selling for 120.00 each for the 225x75x16s or the 285s (would rather sell the 235s as a set) The half worn 235x 85x 16s like 50.00 each.
