    Raising the bar on handling....

Tossed on my 98-02 addco bar yesterday. Took it for a nice 100 mile trip on some windy roads.

The bar fits a bit snug, and the bar is a tad wider than the holes in the arms, so the endlinks are at a bit of an extreme angle for my liking. And to top it all off, I stripped one of the frame mount boltholes. But damn, the car is flat around the corners. I noticed that at high speed on banked highway, that the car was parallel to the road, instead of listing to the outside.

I'd like to try out some softer springs and shocks to make the car a tad more comfy. I still love driving it and I could still roadtrip it as is, but it would be more endurable for the passengers. Not much less than 900lbers (100lbs/in softer) and some 1021's (1 step lighter, heavy vs Extra heavy valving) Another contribution to the ride quality could be the wasted bodymounts. I really need to get them done.

How is your new style bar hooked up, to the lower control arms like a stock bar, or to the spindles like a 98-02 style?

I have plans of installing a 98-02 style on mine at some point with the proper type endlinks for it. That combo on David's car handles a lot flatter than mine does with the same springs and shocks.

the Addco bars dont use the new style end links, they mount the same way as the 79-91 bars, with normal end links

yup, that's true. Using the stock box wagon endlinks.

              Works great.
