That'd be a very interesting mod; it'd bring all sorts of flexibility to the game. One question I think that brings up is, if one were to go that far, would there be particular advantages (other than time and money and frustration in general) not to go ahead and weld up a new complete frame that would be more rigid, etc. than the stock junk?

Stock frame if ridged at least compaired to an old chevy i striped to the frame and suspension. One would also add a roll cage and such most likely stiffen up things quite a bit. The only advantage to a complete frame might be a bit of weight savings
