Maybe you can see the rallys in this pic, but maybe not. You can see the centercaps well here.

Which years and cars did those steelies come on? They look like a real cheap alternative to aftermarket 15x7 wheels, since i'm guessing a jy would have a few of those.

245/60 on stock 15" steelies will work nice, the ones I had were actually wider than the 255/60 Firekawks - matter of fact all 245/60s I've seen have been wider than them Firekawks. 235/60 on turbines is nice combo, never tried the 245/60s on turbines as I got them already mounted on them steelies and was happy with that.

I had 255/60's mounted on an 8" wheel didnt work on the soft front end on my linc, the outer fenderlip tore up the sidewall on any kind of pebble it hit on the road.... but Tom had the exact same tire mounted on a 7" wheel (same manufacturer as mine too i think, just black instead of chrome) and his works ok

Those wheels are off a Dodge (chrysler fifth ave equivalent; can't think of the name right now). I'm not sure what year. I believe they were produced for a long time though. They also came on Dodge St. Regis cop cars of the late 70's/ early 80's.

You can also buy them brand new from Coker Tire. They have the correct bolt circle and don't drag at all. Look nice on a car with the cop theme going on too!

rule of thumb is the tread width 1" wider to 1" narrower than rim width.

                        I believe thats it.

MLY, the 255 60 doesn't sag on the 7 inch rim. Looks good to me. It may depend on what tire you use. My brother uses Yokohama Avid S/T tires (pretty nice, I have them too!).

Turbo, how much wider in inches would a 255 be as opposed to a 215?
I'm sure a 255/60/15 would be ok on 15x7s, but I just dont want it to look really wierd...like the tire is WAY too wide for the rim...

40mm wider. An inch is 25.4 mm, so a little more than 1 and 5/8 inches wider. However, tires are kind of funny. Like I said before, it all depends oin the tire. MLY, I would not worry about it looking funny at all.

Point, like the fact that Radial T/As have a wider shoulder profile than Avid S/Ts, for example. Not sure offhand how the Firehawk Indy 500s compare in this regard.

I prefer the "real" firehawks (PV71). However, those are quite expensive, and the only reason I like them more is because I'm not an OWL (outside white letter) tire kind of guy. The white letters look good on MLY's car though!
