Figured out why my brakes were so touchy

Every since I drove this one home the brakes felt really grabby and the action didn't go away once the rust was taken off the rotors, well now I see why.

Anybody have a left over rotor from their big brake swap they don't need anymore?

Not sure what the deal is yet, I only had the wheels off for a few minutes before I had to move onto the next project of the day.

Mine is exactly the same, one side drags or something, because it wears twice as fast as the other.

What parts store are you going to? $15 is crazy cheap.

O'Reilly Auto Parts. $15 with a $10 core. Then again, I'm talking about calipers while ya'll are asking for rotors. Some times it's too obvious when I'm too agitated to focus on what I'm reading. Sorry for any confusion.

I need to replace calipers anyways....I might do that this weekend so I have decent brakes for the track weekend. I just don't want to spend too much since I plan on replacing it anyways for the big brake upgrade.

Damn, he's right. Autozone has re-man calipers for $16/17.

I really want to avoid spending that if I can though, I'd rather put it towards the 98-02 brakes but can't splurge for the whole setup quite yet.

Rotor doesnt look that bad..... I say slap some new pads on and don't worry about it.

if it's going to be a while before you do the big brakes, some simple brake upgrades would be reman police calipers (requires new/different pads) and replace the stock rubber pin bushings with machined steel units from a Fox body... most Mustang places sell them.
