CHEAP 8.8 Trac Loc...but will it work?

Will this unit work with my car?

Seems summit lists almost every panther EXCEPT mine for this thing, although I'm pretty sure my rear diff isn't any different from anyone elses, why isn't it on the application list???

Just want to be sure before I order it.

Link would help... iF it's for an 8.8 mustang or just a 28 spline 8.8 ford, it'll work.

        Should work since it's a 28-Spline.

Yeah, 8.8" 28 spline is the answer.

Hm.... application list shows Mercury Grand Marquis from '79 to '98 ... that's enough to convince me! I badly need improved traction for cheap myself, so maybe this is the ticket.

Wonder why they say ending year is 1998... This should work on my '03, too, right?

Some time they did change to a 31 spline carrier....I think it was in 03... Not positive though.

Not bad for a new one, but you can get a rebuilt one for half that..I paid $125 for mine. Had it in 2 cars over 8 years beating the crap out of it in 2 different cars. One rebuild for the heck of it 2 years ago.

Sounds like a pretty impressive deal. Where do you go to get stuff like that?
