    SOFB.............

....................my rims got ruined!!!!! I went to change out the winter tires for the summer tires and they're ruined. I must have left a bottle of 409 oven degreaser on top of the rims and the shit leaked all over them. The fuckin 409 ate into the aluminum. They don't look like complete shit, but they look like they have streaks of dirty water running through them. I can barely feel a groove where the 409 ate into the wheel. Maybe this can be buffed or machined out somehow. This really bums me out! FUCK!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that, mang. Hopefully you can clean 'em up and make 'em look halfway decent. Let us know how that works out for ya.

It'll take some time, but you can sand it down to clean aluminum and polish it back to a mirror finish. If it was a machined surface, well it's either gonna become polished or stay ruined. That sucks man.

I might try that. I lotioned up my fingers so they would be soft enough to feel any indentations on the surface and I could just barely detect something. I don't think it is as bad as it looks. Perhaps the Never Dull or its equivalent will buff it out. Thanks for the intel!
