I was going to pick up some tow package springs when I get my tax refund in a couple weeks. I have never done this before. What is involved, and what tools would you say I would need?

jack, jack stands, I think a 11/16 socket and wrench for the lower shock mounts. Jack up the rear of car on its frame, stick a jack under the pumkin of the rear axle and lift it up a lil bit. Unbolt your shocks on the lower mounts. Lower the jack and axle down. Pop out the old springs, slide in the new ones with new rubber hats. Lift it back up, bolt up your shocks and go. Takes about 15 minutes if you know what your doing.

They are listed inthe FAQ.
The moog PN is fairly universal. Autozone uses a similar PN. The CC817 is the HD sedan variable rate spring.
p71interceptor.com has all the factory spring PN's listed alsoBuilder/Owner of Badass Panther Wagons

Ya want a slight rake (if at all) -> CC817s
Ya want a redneck rake -> CC819s
And them shock nuts are 3/4" IIRC, make sure ya have an impact gun or at least a big 1/2" drive breaker bar. And good jackstands of course, do NOT go under the car while it's supported only by teh jack!

This and other pages are in the stickies: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/168,...r-Springs.html These all work for your car, so you could move up to 175's which are a bit stiffer than PI springs, or if you want springs that won't sag unless you have a serious load in the trunk and will jack up the rear end to the sky, get 300lb'ers. Get some KYB heavy duty shocks and you'll never have to worry about a sagging rear end.88 Town Car (wrecked, for sale)

Uh, 88vic, those would make the car permantly sag. Those springs are suggested for stiffening the rear and lowering it.
The CC817's are made to make the car sit at stock ride hieght and are a bit stiffer than stock and still keep a decent ride.Builder/Owner of Badass Panther Wagons
