That One Girl, listen to this gentleman here, he knows what he's talking about - now make your man put the overload springs back in, jack the rear up, and got get some of those truck shocks!

After the PITA of removin those rear shocks the first time, and having done the springs three times now, Im not in a hurry to get back under there and do it all AGAIN.. hehe I figure she can drive it like it is till the spring. But when we do, yer sayin the 56 chevy shocks will give it the throw it'll need to accomidate the wagon coils? Cuz I have to admit, I liked the look better with the rake too.

Unless you want to go with the expensive street stock racig shocks there the way to go. Also when you swap them out the next time. Drill a hole through the trunk floor with a small drill. then from the trunk side use a whole saw of proper size that a body plug can be inserted in for easier access the next time. Grease the threads good. Also a rubber hose or such can be used over the stud to keep the threads clean.

Thanks! You just basically answered a question I was gonna ask. so just as long as I find a removable plug big enough, I can make access holes. Man, you guys make ME want a damn GM. These things really are alot of fun!

Just be careful locating the holes they end up near the bulkhead behind the rear seat. One of mine the drill must have slipped and got near it. Re adjusted for it drilling from the trunk side.

....yeah, we watched the video from last year the other day. looks like fun!

and as the admiral said, i'm going to keep the suspension as-is for the time being. now all of my spare money is going into the "i am going to need a new transmission soon" fund. after that, it's back on with the fun stuff.
