    Wide open throttle

So I've rebuilt the 302 and have added a lot of performance and got rid of all the emission system anyway you would think if I floored the sob I would shoot back in my seat right? Wrong I floor it and it stutters and spits and shakes and chokes really bad! In fact I let go of the gas and it accelerates better then what it should at wot I've replaced all the sensors that go along with fuel delivery.. Bad computer?

A factory 1984 fuel injection ("CFI" in ford speak) doesn't have the ability to adapt to that much more air flow. You're likely running lean, or just getting all-around goofy fueling. There are semi-fixes to this that keep the CFI, but most people end up swapping to the 86-up SEFI fuel injection or a carburetor, as those can be tuned to work with ported heads, cam, etc.

What are the "semi fixes" cuz it is burning alittle lean right now.

No offense dude, but why would you waste any time on a CFI motor? Ported or not, the heads and intake are shit. Not to mention in stock form it runs lean, you just made it way worse. You can bump up the fuel pressure or swap injectors, but I highly doubt you'll crack 200hp with that god awful induction system.

probably a big difference from an 84 but my 88 had very poor power and it was a jumpy acceleration with a lot of hesitation and my fuel filter was clogged and my spark plugs were bad. got new and had its peak performance back.

I was thinking about getting a edlebrock power package.. But how would I switch the cfi over to a carb?

Exactly what emissions things did you remove? Some of what you might think are emissions parts are actually needed to make it run right. Its never going to be fast unless you drop it off a cliff though. I don't really think a carb would help it all that much without a bunch of other work to go along with it, and frankly thats not the block I'd use. Since yours is rebuilt it probably makes more sense to run with what you have if the bottom end is solid. A head/cam/intake package along with good exhaust will make it motivate along OK. Choice is yours if you want to go carb or multiport injection. I've largely hung up the carb thing myself. They won't pass emissions here in NJ, and I don't feel like fooling with it anyway.

                Sounds like it's running lean.
The mustang guys that messed with the HO CFI fox bodies got a little boost out of them but not much. The CFI unit itself evidently makes it impossible to get a performance worthy amount of gas to the engine, even with bigger injectors.
If you are good with carbs, that would be the quick route, otherwise time for 'the conversion'

I got rid of the EGR and all the vacuum lines that sat on top of the valve covers. Me and my shop teacher got rid of it he's a master mechanic. Also got rid of the smog pump. I actuall think it's pretty fast for a big block of metal it needs a new tranny and then I think I'm done and will move on to another project :P. But my marquee sure does cruise nice and sound nice.

Who did your engine work? I assume you didn't do it yourself. Whoever did it is a real asshole, not telling you that messing with the stock engine parts is a waste of time and money. I think if you swap a 2bbl carb on it like a Motorcraft 2150 with bigger jets it might help your lean situation. That's probably your best bet as far as working with what you have, if you don't want to go the SEFI swap route but that'd be better. Look up the SEFI conversion threads on here to see if you want to try that.

I did all the work myself it's was my first build. The engine blew on the car but I wanted to drive the car so we tore down the engine. I wanted to add alittle power so I put a torque cam in it and when I was having the valve job done I had them port them out also an the intake to match. Added the msd ignition opened up the exhaust with some shorty headers and got rid of the emissions. It's not too lean it was leaner before I changed out the pressure regulator. I pull the plugs and they look okay. It's just when I floor it when it's cold it chokes.
