Allthread also works if thats what you have. I believe its 3/8"-NC. Handy bit with allthread, if for some reason you get it stuck, you can thread on 2 nuts, lock them together, and use a wrench to get the pins out.

Perfect... makes a lot of sense. I figured that's what it was but wasn't sure. I'll see if I can get some longer bolts from the hardware store or something... Thanks for the info guys.
I'll also check the lower intake once I get the upper intake off the make 100% sure its the lower intake leak. I'm pretty sure that's what it is, especially considering I did work on it 2 weeks ago.1991 Grand Marquis LS blog- Mayhem; two 12" Kenwood 800w subs, True dual catback, BBK shorties, cherrybombs, steel top, L/H hella lights, 18" AR Torq thrust, Trans cooler, class 3 hitch kit, more on the way...

dumb question but its not the valve covers, is it ? if they get bad on the back edge, it can look sort of like the back of the intake leaking.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Not a dumb question at all as it was the verdict a few years ago =p the deteriorated cardboard like gaskets were replaced with the cork-like ones. I checked them when I did the lower intake and they were fine then. My guess is that back seal got bumped when we put the lower back in and didn't seal up right. I'm really not sure though, we took our time, torqued it with a torque wrench right and everything...1991 Grand Marquis LS blog- Mayhem; two 12" Kenwood 800w subs, True dual catback, BBK shorties, cherrybombs, steel top, L/H hella lights, 18" AR Torq thrust, Trans cooler, class 3 hitch kit, more on the way...
