    lincoln headers installed

    i put the 1990 lincoln headers on the 84 yesterday. went on flawless and easy. i noticed she has a more noticeable exhuast tone and more grunt on the bottom end. the glass pack is more noticable now just got to get a hpipe 1 more glasspack and tail pipes. thanks mcninetyone for supplying the lincoln logs.Click image for larger version

    1984 mercury grand marquis ls rebuilt 306 flat top pistons with factory cfi and lincoln headers with single glasspack dual snorkle air cleaner. Gloss black paint with slick top coversion.

        I got a set of Mustang shorties to go on mine once I get it out of storage...CAN'T WAIT!!!

              hell, I'd take a set of those if I could find them. Currently hunting for Mustang shorties but those would do.

                yea i like them alot. and there was no screwing with exhuast flanges. drove around more today and i can feel a slight power difference over the stockers. and plus they look better

                  Yea I had a full BBK exhaust with Shortys but I sold it all... BTW were they that clean when you got them or did you tank em in rust remover or sumtin?? they look good

                      thats how i got them from mcninetyone. was one of the best purchases ive had for the car. makes the 306 run smoother and looks a hell of alot better

                        Can these be bought new, like from Dorman? I checked RockAuto but the pics on the site look like regular manifolds. And at 180 bucks for the pair, i'm not about to pay that for manifolds which are probably the same as what I already have. I figure I can find Mustang manifolds cheaper, and maybe a guy that made offroad downpipes out of the stock catted downpipe so I can use that to make 2.25" exhaust, which will go well on a stock lopo.
