I have put them on other guy's Mustangs. They worked very well. The valve guide issue was years ago and has been remedied. The pedestal rocker mount heads were the worst. Running cheap rockers amplifies any problems. Running TFS rockers or Crane Gold guarantees good geometry. Why spend $1000+ on heads and try to run cheap rockers?

I had TFS heads twice and loved them. My first set came off my buddies blower car runnning 10.50's at 129mph. And my second set, H/C/I mustang ran mid 12's n/a with only a e-cam. Everyone will have a "good" and "bad" thought so do your research and get what you like.
BTW: i must been lucky as i never had a problem with my TFS heads
