I'm planning on taking the tudor up to Atlanta for the panther meet in November. I'd like to have the car a little more track-ready by then, but I'm not sure how much I can accomplish in that short time. I'm already planning to remove the back seat, and maybe the A/C and smog equipment. I'm also looking for a set of gears. Does anybody have any suggestions or comments about what I can do to run a little better by November? (Carb and/or engine swap is out of the question for now)

get a decent motor, trans, stall converter and some 4.10's, get rid of the smog crap, get an electric fan, pull the interior out, rip up all the sound deadening crap, put the Full interior back in. Manual seat tracks (if it has power ones) Cut the bumper supports.
Just remember, if you want to run at the SSHS you have to be over 3800lbs. I wouldn't go too crazy ripping stuff out. I'd leave the full interior and A/C. Looks better when you beat people with full interior, and not too embarassing when you get beat by a quicker car with a full interior.Builder/Owner of Badass Panther Wagons

Mike, is the 3800 with or without driver. Jumbo Friendly is a pretty big guy, so if it is with driver he could take out some more weight.
Also i predict a good number of 05-06 Mustangs there this year, they are weighing in at around 3800 now.http://secondhandracing.com/Home.aspx

"Mike, is the 3800 with or without driver"
This year it is 4000# WITH driver.
Those of us with excess baggage can have a lightweight car.Speed cost....how fast u wanna go??
It's not how much hp u have...
It's how much hp u can put to the track...
Let's seperate the men from the boys and put that power to the track using street tires and stock suspension components
