just in case anyone feels like going on an NOS parts search, now you have the part numbers. Starred numbers aren't available officially from Ford, they would be superseded by the r/b (replaced by) number.

Keep in mind that copy of the master parts manual is from 1993, I suspect most of those parts are not available now

Does not the '87 have BOTH coolant and window washer fluid? And what's up with the "cut out" on the top?

The cutout is for the overflow hose (coolant), the cap is for washer fluid

Must be for a different application because on a later 80's GM/CV, the overflow hose leading back to the radiator is at the bottom of the tank.

Here is an early washer/overflow bottle, 79-83. The black hose attaches to the radiator. Part# is E1AZ17618A WagonMan

Interesting because on my friend's 88 CV, the coolant return hose is on the bottom which is what I was commenting on.

Makes sense according to the chart. Seems like 84-88 has the bottom return.

that would make sense based on the part numbers. I am sort of curious whats different about the 1989 part. Seems like it fits the same as the 84 part does.
