    Mustang weatherstripping

Is the mustang weatherstripping the best option for the doors on a 2 door? If anyone has used them are they good and are they long enough

Daniel Carpenter kits say the length of their pieces is about 155 inches.
I bought a Fairchild KF3005 kit for an '87 Foxbody. I used them on my FOUR door front doors and had over a foot extra. I don't know if that's enough for a two door - door.
The Fairchild kit is good quality, but it's quite thick and I still require some doorslamming after 2 years.

It's just right angle pinch weld weatherstripping, it should be available in bulk too.

Is the Fairchild bulb as wide as the factory ones? I got a mustang set from LMR and the door barely catches the seal

That's a shame. Like I mentioned, the Fairchild pieces seem thicker than originals and makes the doors harder to close. Definitely makes good contact with the door.
Just a sanity check, do your doors sit flush? Are your window frames okay, do they sit nicely in relation to the A- and B-pillars? How about your striker bushings?

Threadjack.... are they supposed to have striker bushings? My sons car has none on all 4 doors. Are they a replaceable part or buy the whole striker? thanks!

Never seen the bushings sold apart from the entire unit but maybe someone does?

You can get the bushings at any parts store in the HELP section. if you have the older style you have to get the whole unit (dorman makes them, and they make it so the bushings are replaceable). i had a problem with the older style and their bushings, they were too thick, so i actually used some 1/2" CPVC pipe and it was perfect

I believe there's two types of strikers, on some the bushing can be replaced, on some they can't be (very easily atleast). Mine were the latter type, so I bought whole new strikers.

Nice to know the bushings are sold and the replacement is pretty simple. As long as you don't knock the backing plate into the panel - NOT FUN!
