A couple of weeks ago I noticed I was leaking oil from both drain plugs. I changed the oil, and to be on the safeside I replaced both drain plugs, and the accompanying gaskets. I'm still leaking oil, and it is still coming from the drain plugs. The entire area above the front drain plug is dry. If it were the oil pan gasket, the oil should be dripping from there. But it isn't. I made sure the drain plugs were torqued to spec as well. What is going on? I can't picture the new plugs being bad, or the pan having stripped threads. The plugs went in like they were supposed to. I'm at a loss right now.

The ones I got had rubber gaskets. I did have to lightly file the oil pan around the drain plugs to get it smooth again tho, too many over-tightened drain plugs over the years.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
