        I think its cause you have CFI that you had a problem...

          Yea, I read somewhere that the cfi runs some cylinders lean at WOT, there was a fix of adding a plate of some kind.

                That cable broke once on my '85 wagon, if you let the engine wind up it will eventually shift into second. You kinda just have to stand on the throttle and wind her her up. When it broke i called my mechanic to make an appointment and he told me about that. I drove it a couple of miles just fine it was scary at first just because it gets loud when you take off from a standstill but it all worked. Since then i put some 50,000 more on the trans.

                  Everyone has to upgrade to the brass bushing. That should be the first mod after you purchase one of these cars.

                    bushing and clip was $7.50 from my local trans shop, just in case y'all live further away from the dealer than the local places
