When I get a new car i'm gonna make a CAI out of PVC. I redid alot of the plumbing in my house from copper to PVC, so I think I can handle making a CAI out of it. And if it's painted then it doesn't look bad, besides in my opinion it looks good so i'm gonna do it.88 Town Car (wrecked, for sale)

I had 4" but i didint polish I forgot to do that.. for Ram Air use two peaces of pipe and a hole saw then cut a hole in the inner fender and run the pipe thru the hole to the front and make a scoop of some kind.Last edited by interceptor1985; 08-03-2006, 07:39 PM.

I'm not knocking anybody...the numbers speak for themselves. Many people have found that it helps MPGs as well as SOTP. Probably worth HP.
Just not my choice. I just don't see where it's sucking cold air from. I mean, you've got the 180 degree radiator right there...the ABS module(if equipped) which, heck if you're autocrossing then it probably gets warm, the RAS air compessor right under it, the 600 degree exhaust manifols, the radiant block heat, the belt friction heat....
Just my opinion but I'd rather have a little less of the right kind of air(cold)for free then pay for more of the wrong kind(hot). Wish someone made(maybe I should make one...lol)some kind of ram-air box that those conical filters fit into, but with a snout that would truly islolate the nice cool intake air from the crappy power-robbing engine bay air...

The stock intake draws in about the coolest possilble air correct? Besides having a tube that runs to the bottom of the bumper, the stock setup looks to be located fairly well, no?Nick

I mentioned earlier in this thread, I posted my "old intake" pic. I have a great idea for my new intake to addresses the "heat problem". I just don't know if it will sell.
