just wondering how i would go about getting the deepest sounding exhaust possible from a lopo 302.. i dont really like the really LOUD crackling sounding exhaust.. i like the really deep, sounds like the engine is gurgling type.. if anybody has some clips, id like to hear. but ive heard these cars with the headers/h pipe from some of your cars and it sounds good but it doesnt seem like its really deep.... or is it not even possible to get that sound from the lopo 302? man some guy pulled up at work the other day in this fox body mustang and it was soooo awesome. not really really loud, kinda loud, but mainly just DEEP sounding, i loved it..

I'm running a single Hooker aero chamber muffler on my 87 F250 with a 302. I really like the sound. It's loud, but not anywhere near loud enough to get the cops on my case. It's got a nice deep rumble to it but you can still hear yourself think when driving on the highway.

As you all know, I have the stock exhaust with a stock LOPO, and it sounds higher pitched than my dad's minivan and my mom's minivan, and that's saying something. But if I do end up keeping it, I have some questions. First, which is lower sounding, an h-pipe or x-pipe? Second, what are the cheapest H & X pipes that fit on the cats? Third, what is the cheapest muffler you can get for this car, that fit on the H or X pipe that fits on the stock cats, which I believe only a 2 inch H or X pipe fits?88 Town Car (wrecked, for sale)
