    Not enough CFM?

    Out of curiousity I wanted to find out what the CFM of my 2150 2bbl is, and it's pretty low. 287 CFM. Can having it too low cause driveability problems? I found out I can get it worked on so it will flow close to 400 if I wanted to. What do you all think?

    Swap to a better 2 barrel that flows 400cfm, or a 4 barrel.

      3 2 barrels works for me. Or a Holley 2 bbl throttle body the cheep one with out the feed back just the in cocpit adj unit.

        See if Scott has my old big block motorcraft one still...that prolly flows better than that. But it shouldn't cause any issues. I ran a 2bbl 82 mustang GT motor with no problems at all.

          Driveability issues would be caused by jetting or dirty carb parts. Typically the flow number is going to be most important at WOT when you need the highest flow. With a stock engine, you're not pushing that flow number past the carb you have in there.

            Make sure the jetting is right, and your fuel pressure is OK. How do the plugs look? Usually thats a good indicator of the fuel mix. Overly white could be either under-jetted or the fuel pump isn't feeding enough.
