What will happen is if your power steering pump blows some fluid it will land exactly in the air-cleaner box, get sucked in, and fuck up the filter. I say either keep it as is, or remove the whole airbox mess and run a straight pipe like mine, or mount the filter directly to the rubber elbow like the Superlinc.Comment

What's w/ round aircleaners like Holley makes? Any better perf? or do they just look cool? Also what happens to the breathet filter?

91LTD, your car is fuel injected - the round shiney air-cleaners are installed on CFI and carburated engines, they won't work for you.Comment

i would make a dual snorkel setup like the 80's carbed and cfi ho mustang gt's had......the used oem ones are way too pricey, you can make your own with a snorkel from an extra air cleaner base, and some flexible hose, maybe dryer hose?
