    Ok lets see who can name this part :-> Ive been trying to fig out what it is due to i have two of them. ive got an idea though of what it might be.




    Here it is

      Thats what i thought it was ( Ha Ha ) Wth is a MAP sensor anyways? And how can i tell if i got the new one on or the old one on?

        the MAP "senses" the vacuum the engine is pulling, from which the computer can determine how much load there is on the engine and adjust the A/F mixture accordingly (it corelates the MAP reading with the one from the TPS). Whether you have a new or an old sensor I have no idea how to tell - my Townie I'm running one from an '88 LSC, and I only know it cause I put it in there, visually they are exactly the same.

            Are you sure you actually need one? They don't fail very often.

                Probably someone started replacing stuff trying to fix a problem in the past.

                  yeah, I tried out like 4 of the 8 MAP sensors I pulled out of the junkyard, didnt seem to make a damn bit of difference how mine ran. Not even with a new one...

                      thats your fuel pump shutoff switch - you need that.

                      if the car is in an accident, the shock will make that little white pin pop up. Push it back down to re-set it.
