Upper Intakes...

I'm just wondering how many upper intakes are out there that fit the stock lower intake...
I know the LoPo and HO intakes fit, but are there any other upper intakes out there that have larger openings and fit the stock lower intake?
or should I just have my HO intake bored out a little bit and cleaned up?
any input would be appreciated...

From what I've heard the lower intake is more restrictive than the HO upper.

I'm buying a Holley System Max 1 lower intake from Eric(88grandmarq)
it supposed to add around 10 hp...
I'm just wondering if there's anything else I can do with the upper intake...

For $300 Jeg's has the Comp Polymers:5.0L PowerBox that will fit the stock lower,but with this intake you will basically be killing your low-end torque to gain a few high-end HP.I would not recommend this intake,but it is an option.

hmm...how big are the openings on the GT40/Cobra/Explorer intakes?
65mm? 70mm?

Or you could always get a dremel and go to town,porting out the lower runners on the HO intake.I would'nt bother with it until you get better heads and camshaft though.

Yea that powerbox upper is'nt even worth $20 in my opinion.GT40=70mm/Cobra&Explorer=67mm&65mm
