Yeah, I'm working on getting an Eagle Project as we speak. It's tough stuff. For those who don't know, each age is divided is groups called patrols, and my patrol name is: Panthers. Seriously, but I didn't even know that Panthers also meant Vics/GMs/TCs when we decided on a name. But it's pretty cool now that I know about that.

I know that setup works on a Mark VII with Mustang convertable motor mounts and a stock hood. There is a guy on LoL with that exact setup. Not a clue how the clearance is on that vs a Panther hood tho. I think dude on LoL is using the Lightning ECM though.

NJ smog checks aren't that bad but I doubt you'll get through with a carb and no EGR system. Properly tuned carb, cats, and an EgR should get you through. Totally crazy idea: CFI 351. Find a 2bbl 351w intake, slap the CFI unit off an 84-85 car, maybe throw the next size bigger injectors in there, and pimp the only CFI 351 on GMN.

Try using GM's TBI 350 setup. Modded for a Ford intake of course.

btw, if you ever build a 408 race motor its not going to be a quick or cheap endeavour
Hey man, no arguement here. I'm glad you're championing the move to bigger and more potent engines in these cars! Continue to do so!

You can bash on my car about not being as fast, but you have to realize our priorities are different. Yes, I wanted a little more than a stock CFI engine, but I focused efforts on some suspension work and interior restoration, because I rather my car be a complete package of 'nice' - not just under the hood.

Your goal is apples, mine is oranges. Still great projects regardless.
