I just changed a leaky water pump on my 89 Colony Park w/302.
I thought something was missing in that there wasn't a spacer on the bolt for the smog pump (the one that you have to take the pulley off to get to) when I tore the car apart. I bet that there is supposed to be a spacer between the smog pump and the front of the block.
Since the water pump replacement, I haven't been able to keep the belt for the smog pump/Air conditioner on for more than a few miles.
Without searching in salvage yards, could one of the gang tell me how long is this spacer? I could fab one out of pipe to keep the belt on and me cool this summer.
