    1984 Merquir Marquis 3.55 traction lock 100 bux got the guy down from 200 i was happy and i ll have pics of it 2morrow and i saw somethin rare a two tone teo door pics tomorrow

      no i didnt i saw one i would of if i didnt have a wagon srry wrong wording
      wish i about a 83 two door crown but couldnt have i bought A REAR AXLe 3,55 trationlock from a 84 merc

        So you bought the K code axle?

          Now you'll just have to rebuild it and install it. I would really suggest doing that too, its probably got miles on the bearings and usually by now that traction lock unit is about toast. $50 rebuild kit fixes that. New bearings and seals, and do rear discs and rear control arm bushings while its out, and you're good.

            Also the right axle probably needs replacing. Luckily the left and right are the same.


            As Gadget stated, get it rebuilt...It'll save you headaches down the road.

                Not too bad if you have the tools...a complete rebuild kit with the trak-loc rebuild would prolly be under 130 bucks. Scott will prolly do it for a decent price....

                  Why do you say the right axle would need to be replaced? Just wear and tear? Funny how things don't wear evenly side to side in such an application.
