      I know a guy that used to make custom prototype heades and intakes for the big three or two now. He opened his own shop. He will be mmaking some headers for a Pantera I an engine for. bHe jusst did a sett for another friends 440 in a Challenger they weere much better than the Super Comps that wwere on it. Maybe if enough of us got togeather for a big enough order.

              I voted yes, but I don't think I'd buy them right now. My engine just doesn't need them yet. Long tube headers aren't going to help a 132hp engine much. Plus, I just brought shorties, I don't want to ditch them yet. If you think the panthers are tight under the hood as far as header clearance, our '69 Fairlane with a 302/3-on-the-tree has absoutly no clearance for any type of header thanks to the shift linkage.

                That was me. Full length headers are a pain in the ass and a ground clearance issue. For all the annoyance of installing them, the marginal gains they produce don't justify the work and expense IMHO. The collectors end up dragging the ground, the floorpans cook your feet, and they leak and blow collecor gaskets all the time. Screw that.

                    and i was the second no.............stupid low headers scraping the ground, fried starters in my 351c.........bah

                    1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt

                      Shorties lose their effectiveness as your power level goes up. Id rather have a good set of long tubes for my motor and keep the exhaust pulses seperated longer for the scavenging effect.
