need to select a water pump for nates 351.......choices are new aluminum, or new cast iron pump.........think the weight reduction of the aluminum pumpis worth the extra 12 bucks?

yep, just watch for corrosion inside thoughjay--1983 towncar, 302v8 cfi, dual straight pipes w/resonators ,edelbrock motor goodies, custom interior, full custom stereo system, full rebuilt trunk audio setup, custom paint...more to come......

well when i looked at the aluminium pump, it did not have the two extra bolts that the 351 uses, so i went for the new cast iron pump....ok now i need to paint some more

Im using the cast iron pump on my 351. It cools my motor fine, could be a bit better though, but on His motor it will prob cool fine. Mine however, is going to be replaced with an Aerpospace Components Electric water pump.http://secondhandracing.com/Home.aspx
