has anyone tried fitting 1991(under head lights) clear lights to the 83 grille

Completely different. About 5 inches longer than our running lights. Best bet is to find a set of 79 clears, very rare, but a few have manged to get them.

Or, you can get a 91 header panel, grille, and hood.

but I wouldnt. 1987 back vics look better!

if you want to try a project, I noticed that two backup lenses end to end are almost the same size as our front signal lenes.
