Get the 83 mustang GT stick shift (4bbl) distributor.

Then, you can use most of your duraspark shit, I think.

Any DII 302 distributor will work. Or if you have a points distributor, you can put a pertronics module in it.

Find yourself a "Blue" box to replace your "Brown" box and you are set.

That there is your basic Blue box and a cobbled wiring job of adding a rev limiter.

And the other thing is a DuraSpark II distributor. Avoid the cobblejob rev limiter crap. And fark those points distributors. By the time you spend the money on the distributor and convert it to electronic you can just buy an electronic distributor that uses commonly avaliable parts vs special mail-order stuff that you'll have to wait for should something fail.

You just need to make sure you get the right gear on the HEI distributor. Someone elaborate, I forget the specifics.

                    Roller cam = iron gear?

Actually, the roller requires the steel gear...

GM HEI ignition is nice. One wire. Done. I'd really consider one for a carb motor, especially for the sheer cleanliness factor. No wiring or ignition coil to place.

I also forget which uses what gear but roller and non-roller use a different gear.

MSD boxes are quick and easy to hook up too. Another route to go if you want. Summit always has some kind of sale on 6al and 6a boxes

Yah, that's why I had the question mark. Roller, steel - non-roller, iron.
