    Intake

What size intake should I run now. I have a 3 right now. I went to look for a new filter and the guy says that 3 inch is small. 3 1/2 -4 inch is normal. Now looking for one it is hard to find 3 inch. Is it too small or what?

Fucking intake kits cost alot of money. 150 for what. A filter and a pipe.

go to your local autozone and get the universal intake parts and make your own, or use aluminum tubing from somewhere, you can get all the silicone adapters and filters etc. at advance autoparts or sutozone, i find autozone usually has every part youll ever need for building an intake

Check around some of the import forums and import parts websites. There are a ton of companies that make cold air intakes. I paid $90 for my complete cold air intake for my 93 Eagle Talon from Cosmoracing.com. It worked very well and you can find those intakes even cheaper than that now.

It is pretty conclusive that the aftermarket conical filter, relocated to the fenderwell, offers absolutely no performance advantage over the stock air box fitted with a clean K&N panel filter.

Blackhawk, what's the point of running a 100mm (4") pipe when your TB, EGR spacer, and intake manifold still have the 60mm opening?

Well I was going to get it because I have plans on modding everything. It's best to have everything before hand. I think I'll just buy a cheap paper filter for my 3 inch now and get something better when I actually do the motor.

I'm just going to keep the 3 inch. It's an MAF pipe though. Anyone have a better suggetion than this here garden hose?
Anways I think cold air intakes are over rated. The main thing you should worry about is the Manifolds and TB. I guess 3 inch is big enough either way. Isn't it like 75mm anyways.

                    I got this.

Product Style: Round Straight Universal Air Filter
Flange Inside Diameter: 3 in (76 mm)
Flange Length: 0.625 in (16 mm)
                    Flange Type: Centered
                    Height: 6.5 in (165 mm)
Outside Diameter: 5 in (127 mm))

Use a rubber heater pipe cap over that fitting. It'll look a bit better. They're in the help section usually.
