Off-topic: My GM, when stock, was saggy rear springs with leaky air shocks. She was draggin' ass. Moog cargo coils lifted her nicely. Won't sag with my tools in back.

Really? Header bolts aren't any different (heat resistant-wise or rust-wise)?

gotta use header bolts if using aftermarket headers, because of the lackof space from the larger primaries........factory headers used regular manifold bolts......just make sure to use lockwashers

interesting.....i asked earlier bout the oxygen sensors, since im goin to have to place it on the h-pipe, i guess i will have to drill on whole on the h pipe, am i correct? i was looking at it a while ago and nope, only the stock placement of it on the header

an easy header upgrade if you are going to keep the stock cats,is to get a set of 90 towncar headers......they will flow better than the manifolds and just as well as the factory shorty headers, and they have o2 bungs just like the stock lopo manifolds

Where's a good place to start removing parts? Disconnect cats from manifolds first? I've read that the cats are pretty heavy. Any advice for removal?

For clearance, I'll have the back end on ramps and the front on jack stands.

Monty, remove your cat's and downpipes, then the manifolds. The cats aren't terribly heavy. The manifolds however weight a rediculous amount. As for removing the cats, you could probably hold one up while you remove the downpipe to manifold bolts, or use some blocks of wood to support them so you can wrench on teh bolts with both hands.
