    is this normal

    shifty has done this since i've owned the car, and only now am i posting about it,lol.

    on the old columns, the wipers had 3 settings intermittent, slow, fast,. on the newer box columns, its setup similarly. but the knob on mine has to turn a whole lot before the wipers come on. is this normally like that or is it screwed up? i have to turn that little black plastic knob quite a bit before it stops and its kind of annoying. if its just a quirk on the cars part,i'll live with it but if there is a fix i want to take care of it

    anybody with a newer box (90-91)know what i'm talking about?

    yes indeed i do...i have to put the knob halve way on intermitten to get wipers and some times when i wiggle the knob a bit, they come on too!

      1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
