Yeah, no overdrive, which amounts to asstastic highway fuel economy and you're more limited on gearing then because of how fast the engine will be spinning away in top gear. You'll also need to work something out for a kickdown, which isn't that major of an operation really. A C4 is tough but price really shouldn't be your only consideration on this. A stock rebuilt AOD is perfectly acceptable for a stock engine, and they can be made pretty strong, depending on budget and needs.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

aod = big heavy pile of crap. c4 = basic, solid automatic. wanna beat on it? get the c4. wanna cruise around and get good milage, get an AOD.
