    351 interceptor

anyone know where i could get a 351 interceptor crown vic??? i have been wanting one for a while now lol. thanks

Your best bet would be to find a clean 302 vic and put a 351 in it. Some of those old interceptors are beat. You might be waiting a long time.

Maybe E-Bay??? There is a guy in California that finds some REALLY nice ones there in CA.... low milage police package cars... usually Fire Chief's cars... his name on E-Bay is "In-pursuit" (Not sure if the name has a dash in it or not... I'll try to get a link to his auctions....) He is on another board i go to... and he always has some REALLY nice Police package cars.... including some antiques once and a while .. and he is HONEST!!!

Here is one of his recent auctions:

      This car went for $5600.00

here is an auction on right now... Not 5.7 but really nice....

Also, he will arrange shipping for the car for you... at a reasonable price.... is He is not a rip off artist, like alot of the dealers on E-Bay....

I have one, but I live in Louisiana. Besides- when things settle down, I'm going to get a 351 PI and build it... but I'll be really patient and find a really good one.

Try salvage yards, and try to get one out of a truck.

The vast majority of the 351w's were in trucks, a good amount of the E-sereis vans got them, but mostly they got the straight 6 ( at least around here). The 95 Cobra R also got a 351W but good luck finding one of those, less than 300 were built.

That's why they make aftermarket hi-rise intakes and 4V carbs!!

Even if it is clean that is way to much for that car.... It has alot of miles on it... suspension, trans and maybe the engine will need help soon... depending on how it was cared for.... I wouldn't pay more than about $900.00 for it.... another thing is, if it has been sitting there.. whats wrong with it?? Usually if a car sits... it is either too high asking price, or something wrong with it....
It has been sitting there long enough... Dealers like to try to get alot of money for a car they "traded" for probably $250...... Go in right before closing one day and offer them $850.00 for it and see if they will take it... if not walk out... if they haven't had any decent offers lately... they may beat you out to your car... and take your offer... Tom
