    Air Pump

Ummmm.. What the hell does the air pump do exactly? If it's fucked.. is it considered a vaccume leak? That's going to fuck the perfomance of the engine? Is it even a vaccum line, or does it just pump air to the cats..... which I don't have?

Pumps air to the cats and the back of the heads. There is a vacuum hose to it from over near the cruise, its a 5/16 line. Pull and cap it. The two small lines go to the control solenoids. Cap those too. Pull the pump and toss it in the scrap pile. If you feel like getting out your skinny hands, you can remove the air manifold thingy from the back of the heads. If not, get a 3/4" rubber pipe cap and clamp it over the end of the air manifold. Install a 560k6 belt and be happy.

Wouldn't you want the air going to the back of the heads though?

the air holes in the head are just emissions related, if anything they pump extra air into the exhaust ports, thereby reducing how much air can flow out of the cylinder. remove the air pump parts and plug the hole in the heads with a 5/8-11 x 1" bolt.

You don't need any of it, it is all shit. Its ugly and a waste of space and weight. Unless you have emissions testing, junk that shyt.

If you have cats, and you go through smog testing, it should be fine. The smog pump vents to atmosphere once the engine is warmed up anyway. The lack of cats is whats gonna fail you, not the smog pump. Unless you live somewhere thats both really anal and does visual smog inspections as well as emissions checks.
