    But to answer your question . . . .

    I suspect that the main reason that you can't chirp from a stop is that the torque curve of your motor has "shifted" up 1000 RPM from 2000 RPM stock (at 270 ft-lb (stock Lo-Po rating)) to 3000 RPM (300 ft-lb (stock Mustang rating)). Although the Mustang torque curve doesn't ramp down too quickly (vs. RPM), I suspect that your off-idle torque is lower with the HO setup.


    HO with Explorer Cam, Electric Fan, Cop Sway Bars, Dual exhaust with no mufflers, 15x7" American Racing; 215/70R15's front, 255/60R15's rear, 3.55's with Trak-Lok.

      Yeah, off idle power is less with an HO. They really don't have a whole lot of grunt under about 2000 rpm, and with the exhaust being open, it has even less.

            More to come.

            When the original CFI lopo blew it was replaced with another lopo but had a Weiand Action plus intake and a holley 600 vac secondary carb. the car had suprisingly good pickup through 1st gear. not sure if it would spin the tires, but would jump out there rather quick.

                Duce, my car is the same way with the edelcrock carb...

                I know a good set of heads and a cam would really wake that car up...
