is there an easy fix for this......

i have figured out that when my AOD warms up, after driving it around in first gear for about 10 minutes, it will start to shift. is there an easy fix for this? If not, how much would it cost to fix at a tranny shop?

You already did a fluid change, right? If not, do that. If it's still there, get an addative and see if that makes it better. If it's still there you need to work on the tranny. Either way though, the tranny needs to be fixed, if the bottle or fluid change fixes it, then it's only going to be temporary.

Look into replacing the governor on the tail shaft. It sounds like it's sticking. I've been trying to find the tech article I read just less than a week ago, but I'm not having any luck, yet. If I do come across it, I'll post the link for you.

good news. but strange. yesterday i took the merq for a spin and it shifted fine with no problems while it was still cold. its like the problem fixed it self.

Definitely sounds like your governor was sticking. I know people who have had the problem intermittently like that. Just be careful with it and next time (if there is one), maybe go ahead and change the governor.
