Will all AOD tranny's (88-91)work on my 1991 GM?

Make sure that its is one from a grand marq or vic, and not a towncar.

A mustang trans will work too, not one from a mark 7, but it will require modification of the shift lever on the trans...

The Town Car trannies are also the same except that the tail shaft is longer, which is only changable by dissasembling the entire tranny.

As was stated by GMGT, you may also need to change the shif lever, which can be done by simply removing the pan and then you can work on swaping the leavers.

I got a rebuilt one with a ford 2800 stall converter for 150 bucks !!!
