Im lookin to get a new air filter for my car. But with all the brands out there I want the best bang for my buck. What is a reputable air filter?

AC Delco is the absolute #1 filter for filtration quality as far as paper filters go. If you like letting tons of dirt through and short filter clogging time, get a gause like K&N. If you wanna try something I have checked out but have not seen any personaly in use, try TrueFlow. It looks very promising as an awesome filter as far as filtration quality, I saw a demo of the dirt passage test, and K&N let a crap load of dirt though, while this TrueFlow filter let nothing by even though it got 3 times the dirt the K&N did.

Fram is not regarded as the best, but I don't think they are that bad, deffinitly not bad in comparison to K&N and the like. Next time I am going to try that TrueFlow man. They look really cool, supposedly flows like a K&N, filters better than paper and is reuable. I have not seen the flow rate claim proven, but the filtration claim I have, and it's pretty damn amazing.

As far as Fram goes i think its the oil filters that are crap.A few independent test have been ran on them vs other brands and the Fram unit did the worse.

I am currently running a Fram air filter in my Vic with no issues. When it starts to get dirty i just blow it out with a air hose and slap er back in.I do this only once then i just scrap it and get a new one.For a wile i was running a high flow cone filter but desided to go back to stock.
