...and as for the plugs, Kenny, at the power level of a stock CV/GM/TC 5.0, you won't notice much difference between stock replacement and "performance" spark plug wires, so just go with what you got. Personally, I really liked the stock replacement Bosch wires I had on my '96 T-bird.

Im running teh $0.99 Boxch copper plugs in my Windosr with teh 9mm Ford racing wires and a full MSD ignition. I really should change plugs, since these plugs were in the motor when it was running really lean. Lean enough to heat the header red hot.

V/C gaskets get toasted often on 302s...

Just the way they are. That could be an oil leak right there..

That's why I buy $25 valve cover gaskets. They're the rubber with the metal core. Bad ass- I couldn't keep corks on there, but I went 5,000ish miles with the rubbers and not a drop fell from the covers!

I also use the steel core FMS ones.

                      The STOCK ones leak often.

Go figure - I have the aluminum Mark VII valve covers and the top front bolt for the driver's side one sheared off while tightening it, that VC therefore is now held by only 5 bolts and the Felpro cork gasket hasn't leaked even a drop of oil.
