    Problem?

My dad and I were changing the battery in my car, and I discovered this falling apart.

Im having difficulty locating the part for this online. Should I bother replacing it?

    Problem?

    I would replace it.

This is what some call the intake snorkel. Its job is to "suck" the air from in front of the radiator (a cold air source), and pass it back to the filter box.

Does it hurt anything? No. Maybe a little bit on power, since the engine will be ingesting underhood air, which will be hotter than in front of the radiator.

I'd go to a junk yard. Should be plentiful there.

I doubt that you can buy them new - except for maybe from the dealer.
