    The one the guy gave me....think it was out of a newer vic. All I got was the actual shaft, no yokes or u joints.

    It lessened vibration quite alot. Although I found that the yoke and the bushing are pretty much trashed on my car.

    I dind't do anything but swap the DS's out. The length was the same...

    You sure the tailshaft housing is different on a AOD? I thought it was just the newer cars. I have the housing to if its different. Ill go measure after while and see.

    you will need the extended tailshaft housing.

    Do it. you wil have slightly better acceleration, better gas milage, higher criticl driveshaft speed, less weight overall. A steelshaft and u-joints weighs about 20#s an aluminum shaft with u-joints weighs 10#s

    Ya think It might give any better gas mileage. I got one in the shed and cant decide if its worth throwing in.
