It dont fit. Length is the same but the yoke that bolts to the pinion flange is way bigger. Cant even see the bolt holes. So if you pull one at the yard, get the flange too.

Too lazy and its not that important. My u joints are good and the steel shaft I have is a stronger than stock aftermarket piece. Weighs at least twice what the aluminum does.1989 Grand Marquis LS

I saw an article by a guy who swapped one into his box, he had to use the box yoke and a special U joint in the rear to mate the shaft to the box yoke.
