What do you mean by "u shifted into OD and nothing happens"? Like when you're in P and wanna get going you put in OD and the car doesn't move? If that's the problem don't look at the OD band, it applies only above like 40mph, and only works when the car is in 4th gear, that's why cars with a toasted OD band have no 4th, but the first 3 gears usually work okay. Are you sure you're actually in D mode when you move your shifter to it? I'm thinking your gear indicator in the dash works fine for P, N and R, but then it gets stuck (or loose) somewhere and instead of going to the OD position it jumps dierctly to "D", while the car's actually in OD mode. Try moving your shifter past "1" and see what happens. Or just count detents on the shifter - I hardly ever look at my gear indicator, I'm used to counting the detents and feeling the angle of the shifter, 3 detents from park is OD, down the road if I can touch the knob with my knee without moving it too much then I'm in D

It sounds like the shifter is not aligned with the tranny. To adjust the lever with the tranny. put it in nutral. Losen the bolt that hold the shiter to the connecting rod coming from the tranny. This is located below and towards the passagner side of the master cylinder. Go under the car jiggle the shift lever on the tranny, to make sure it's in the N detent. Then place the shift lever in the car to N, have someone hold it exactly where you want, then tighten the bolt.
