    newbie with a 5.8 conversion

Putting my old lightning motor in my 85 2dr what do i need to get as far as accesory bracket to convert from the 5.0 to the 5.8 and does anyone have these items for sale? Thanks in advance

Since a 5.8 came stock in panthers,(mainly police cars) just find the brackets in a JY. Someone might have them FS here.

That 85 should move with that motor in it....

the PS and alt. bracket from the 5.0 Panthers and the 5.8 Panthers are the same. I have my 351 using the original 5.0 brackets. All the 5.8 cars from the junk yard have the same bracket.

The only things unique you will need are. Oil pan. exhaust, either new down pipes or different headers, Intake, the Lightning FI intake will not clear the hood If you stay FI you need a 351 lower and any upper. the Distributor is 351W specific.

Panther is the name of the platform that the Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Lincoln Town Car, and the Mercury Marauder are built on.
